The founding General Assembly of CESSDA in Bergen on June 18th, 2013
The Council of European Social Science Data Archives has operated as an association between institutions for 37 years. As a result of the ESFRI process, an intensified cooperation and a new legal entity will be established by an agreement between nations. DwB Organises Visit Tours to Research Data Centers
The visits are directed to staff members in European statistical offices and data archives that have not implemented any RDC yet. The visits will take place between March 2013 and March 2014, and the DwB project will refund the travel and accommodation expenses. [more...]

ELSST multilingual thesaurus available
European Language Social Science Thesaurus (ELSST) has been developed over the years by the members of CESSDA. It facilitates access to data resources across Europe, independent of language and vocabulary. Hans Jørgen Marker named President of Cessda
Hans Jørgen Marker, the Director of the Swedish National Data Service, has been appointed President of CESSDA, effective March 3, 2010. He replaces Professor Kevin Schürer, who will be leaving the directorship of the UK Data Archive and ESDS in order to take up an appointment at the University of Leicester as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Research.
